A beautiful view of Rome

Rome Bridal Week interviews Maria Pia Messina of Bianco Sposa Atelier

Maria Pia Messina and her mother, owners of Bianco Sposa Atelier, are among the most loyal visitors to Rome Bridal Week: once again this year, they will cross the doors of Fiera di Roma to discover in advance the bridal novelties for the coming seasons and choose the collections for their boutique in Alcamo, in the province of Trapani.

Can you describe your store? Where is it located, how long has it been there, and which brands do you focus on the most?
Our atelier was born 12 years ago, and we like to define it as a jewel nestled in the historic center of Alcamo, in the province of Trapani, the most historic and elegant neighborhood in the city. We focus mainly on brands that offer high quality in fabrics and tailoring, combined with innovative design that keeps pace with the tastes of the new generations.

2023: What were the favorite choices of brides in the past year?
The favorite choices were undoubtedly the 3D floral embellishments, elaborately crafted bodices leaving room for a simpler and more linear skirt...

What will change in 2024? What are the new trends and the new demands of brides?
For 2024, we will have a lot of lace, the beloved corset, pronounced slits, and bodices embellished with beads and crystals, not to mention silk dresses with shoulder-baring necklines... in short, it will be a beautiful season!

Events in 2024: Rome Bridal Week will open the calendar of trade fair events. Will we see you among the corridors of the fair? What would you like to find? Which brands will you focus on?
We cannot miss Rome Bridal Week! We are curious to discover what the fair has in store for us this year. We would certainly like to find both historic brands and interesting novelties. We will focus on Made in Italy brands, but we do not exclude broadening our horizons beyond the ocean as well.
